A foundational passion for

Woodworking

The company owner, Nathan Sitz, caught the woodworking bug while taking woodworking classes at Park Rapids High School. While attending Concordia College he took a summer job at a hardwood floor company which quickly turned into a full time job. His passion for creating the finest hardwood floors led to starting Park Rapids Hardwood Flooring INC.

At Park Rapids Hardwood Flooring our clients are our top priority. We ensure customer satisfaction through the high quality of our work, as well as providing excellent customer service. We hold certifications from the National Wood Flooring Association as a certified sand and finish contractor as well as Bona’s Certified Craftsmen certification.

Reasons To Install

Hardwood Floor

Hardwood flooring is one of the most durable and beautiful floor coverings available. Not only is it easy to maintain, but hardwood is environmentally friendly and better for your family’s health. Hardwood adds value to your home and costs far less over the life of the product.

  • Durable: While many other floor coverings wear out and must be replaced, hardwood can last a lifetime.
  • Natural Beauty: Hardwood flooring adds timeless beauty and a natural element that cannot be reproduced.
  • Easy Maintenance: Hardwood flooring is easy to clean using only a dust mop and wiping up spills. Protecting high wear areas with rugs and using furniture protectors greatly increases the life of your flooring. If there was ever damage such as pet stains or water damage the affected flooring can be removed and replaced without replacing the whole floor. When the surface gets scratched or worn it can be cleaned and have another coat of finish applied to restore the integrity of the finish.
  • Ecologically Friendly: Wood floors come from a natural resource that is sustainable. Many other floor coverings use harmful chemicals in the manufacturing process where hardwood is simply milled from trees. We offer low VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) finish systems as well as no VOC finish options that are very durable.
  • Better Air Quality: The American Lung Association recommends hardwood to improve indoor air quality. Hardwood flooring traps fewer allergens than other flooring types, and with the ease of cleaning they are easy to remove.
  • Added Value: Homes with hardwood are in high demand with home buyers. Hardwood flooring can not only increase the value of your home, but can lead to faster sales.
  • Low Cost: Hardwood flooring may cost more than other flooring types initially, but when you add in the replacement costs of other flooring over the lifetime of a hardwood floor you end up spending much more.
